Dr. Ofstedal's research interests include transitions in physical and cognitive functioning in old-age, issues relating to access and utilization of health and long-term care services, intergenerational relations and support, methodological issues in survey research, longitudinal survey design and analysis, and comparative research. She is a co-investigator of the Health and Retirement Study and directs a MiCDA network on comparative international survey research.
