Dr. Ingersoll-Dayton is interested in support exchanges among family members in later life. Her research examines positive and negative aspects of support, gender differences, issues of equity and reciprocity, and cross-cultural differences in marital and intergenerational relationships. Currently, she is working with an international team of researchers to develop a measure of psychological well-being for Thai elders.
