Dr. Brown is an empirically-oriented labor economist. Recent work has focused on measurement error in survey data and early-retirement "windows." He has been involved in the design and updating of the labor market status sections of the Heath and Retirement Study, and is currently analyzing data on early out windows offered to HRS respondents. Other current projects include an analysis of the relationship between age of firm and wages, and an exploratory study of children from military families.
