Dr. Langa is a general internist and health services researcher. His current research focuses on estimating the societal costs of chronic disease among middle-age and older adults, with an emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. He is a Co-Investigator on the Health and Retirement Study. He is Co-Director of the Patient Safety Enhancement Program and the Collaborative Center for Research and Education in the Care of Older Adults, at the University of Michigan Medical School and VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System.
