Dr. Schwarz studies human judgment, including social cognition, the interplay of feeling and thinking, and the role of conversational processes in reasoning. He investigates the role of these and related variables in the question answering process, paying particular attention to the emergence of context effects in self-reports of attitudes and behaviors.
