JAY PEARSON

Research Fellow, Population Studies Center, University of Michigan.

Ph.D., University of Michigan

Dr. Pearson’s research interests broadly concern health and health behaviors in later life. His current research includes developing a new theoretical model to consider the influences of structural inequality, ethno-racial classification, and socio-cultural orientations on racial/ethnic health disparities. He is also exploring the differences in telomere length, chronic disease, and allostatic load score by gender, nativity status, time in the US and other salient covariates on Detroit Latinos.
