a MiCDA Research Project Description

Investigators: George A. Kaplan, Ana V. Diez Roux, James S. House, Paula M. Lantz, Trivellore Raghunathan

Funding: Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

The RWJ Health & Society Scholars Program at the University of Michigan emphasizes the importance of linking an array of causal factors to understand and improve population health and eliminate the great health divides within our society. By bringing together faculty from many areas of health, from public policy, urban planning, economics, sociology, and social work, from the bio-medical and environmental sciences, and from education, we have created an environment in which independent scholars can gain depth and breadth of research opportunities in investigating the broad determinants of individual and population health.
