Lesli Skolarus, Vicki Freedman, Chunyang Feng, and James Burke find that, although elderly blacks have greater stroke incidence, post-stroke disability, and need for care than whites, black stroke survivors have a similar level of unmet care need and more positive caregivers than do whites.
