Dr. Giustinelli conducts economic and policy research that focuses on decision making under uncertainty, especially within the family and concerning domains such as human capital investment and retirement. Her work examines the relative roles played by preferences, beliefs, choice sets, and other elements of decision-making processes in both the selection of decision rules and outcomes. She is also interested in survey methodology, particularly as it relates to this line of research.
