Dr. Paulson's research focuses on the causes and treatment of age-related neurodegenerative diseases. He directs the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center, where a key research interest is the role of protein quality control pathways in brain degeneration, including in Alzheimer's disease and other old-age dementias. Paulson's clinical expertise is also centered on age-related dementias.
