Dr. Sastry's research interests center on the social and spatial dimensions of health, development, and well-being in both the United States and less-developed countries. In particular, he is interested in the linkages between genetics, behavior, and social science outcomes. In this regard, his research activities also include work arranging for the collection and processing of blood- and/or saliva-based biomeasures in the PSID and the L.A.FANS.
