Survey Measurement and Methods
Michigan is home to major surveys in the demography of aging, including the Health and Retirement Study and the Panel Study of Income Dynamics. These and other data collection activities are based at the Institute for Social Research’s (ISR) Survey Research Center (link to SRC page), which has a strong program in survey methodology (link to PSM). Methodological research by MiCDA affiliates focuses on the development of new measurement techniques and analytical approaches and harmonization with other US and international surveys. ISR is also home to the National Archive of Computerized Data on Aging (link), which archives and disseminates aging-related data.
